Please join us on Sunday September 15, 2024 for the Born Brave 5K in Lockport, New York. We are also planning to offer a 1-mile Fun Walk option through the park! The event is in honor of Nina Schifferle who was born on February 1, 2024 with a rare congenital heart defect. She had her first of 2 open heart surgeries on February 14 at just 13 days old. Nina is now thriving thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Pediatric Cardiac Care Center at Golisano's Children's Hospital in Rochester. All proceeds will benefit the unit to support the life saving work they do every day! START/FINISHThe race will start and finish at the Nelson C. Goehle Municipal Park using area roads and paths along the Erie Canal (see map below).

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUPOnline registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at the park gazebo from 8:30am right up until the start of the race at 10:00am. Paper applications can be downloaded and mailed to the address shown. All runners who register by September 12, 2024 are guaranteed to receive an official Born Brave t-shirt. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.5K Registration
